The midweek pick me up your tired skin needs!

.So if you’ve been reading my blog posts over the last while you’ll know that I struggle with dehydrated and dull skin. Maybe it’s because I’m 26 going on 40 or maybe it’s because of fatigue, being too busy and never switching off- like so many of us out there! We’re all so constantly busy that we neglect such a vital part of our body – our skin. I’ve been inspired by Simone from An Ordinary Gal and Mariska from The Secret Board who had some mask reviews over the last while to continue my mask hunt. Now the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask range was definitely one of the most talked about beauty products of 2017. And in true Rachael style I’ve finally gotten round to buying one in 2018 – the Super Hydrating Revitalizing Mask.

While these products have been wildly talked about, there does seem to be a very mixed camp of peoples experiences. Some people raved about it, others saw no effect at all and others just felt indifferent. Now, I must admit I am sitting on the LOVE fence because for some reason this mask just really worked for me. Now I only use it two days ago so I can’t speak for it’s one week results but my initial use was very positive.

I love finding anything under R50 bucks!

Results Promised

In 15 minutes:  Skin is intensely hydrated Skin looks smoother √ Complexion radiant √

In 1 week:  Fine lines appear reduced  Skin looks plumper Skin radiance is revitalized

My results / thoughts:  I must say that I actually really enjoyed this mask. I think that maybe it was my skin type or complexion but it just seemed to work really well. My skin felt incredibly soft when I took it off (I did leave it on for longer though, probably 25 minutes) and also looked visibly hydrated. Since I used it two days ago, my skin is still really soft and smoother than usual. When I applied my foundation the next day I also noticed a visible difference in the “flawless factor”. I.E. How smooth my foundation looks!

Skin appearance definitely did look more radiant and smooth.

I can’t say how my skin looked after one week as it hasn’t been a week yet, but keep an eye out on my Instagram stories. I’ll let you guys know there! But so far my skin still feels more soft and looks more hydrated than usual.

Scent:  Has a nice fresh scent – very clean and bright

Price: Reasonable – cost R49,99 for one but sometimes they are on Clicks 3 for 2 special to grab them then!

Other random thoughts on the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask

  • Mask stays nicely on the face and doesn’t slip off
  • It seemed a bit smaller and the top of my forehead didn’t get covered
  • Can feel a bit sloppy / slippery when you first take it out off the packaging. So, it can feel a bit tricky to open it properly.

Have you tried any of these masks? What were your thoughts?

Have a happy week

Topknotch xx
